By air, Ikaria is served by Aegean Airlines (with flights of Olympic Air) and Sky Express Airlines.
In general, Ikaria is connected by air:
• with Athens
• with Northern Greece via Thessaloniki
• with the North Aegean Region via Lemnos.
By sea, Ikaria and its two ports, Agios Kirikos and Evdilos, are mainly served by ships of Attica Group and more specifically of Blue Star Ferries and Hellenic Seaways.
In general, Ikaria is connected by ferry to:
• the port of Piraeus
• the islands of the Prefecture of Samos that Ikaria belongs (Samos, Fourni)
• Northern Greece, via Kavala
• North Aegean Region (Chios, Oinouses, Lesvos, Limnos)
• Cyclades islands (mainly Syros, Mykonos – sometimes also Tinos). Traditionally, Ikaria was also connected with Paros – Naxos, but in recent years this connection has not been consistently served by the ferry companies (if you’re interested, check out for the most recent schedules)
• Dodecanese islands (Patmos, Lepsi, Leros, Kalymnos, Kos, Nisyros, Tilos, Symi, Rhodes, Kastellorizo).
