In the road between Agios Kirikos and Faros, every now and then you can find beautiful beaches with small pebbles, other smaller, other bigger (e.g. Nealia, Xylokerate). Just before reaching Faros, on a small foreland, you can find a bright white small church, Panagia of Kerame, overlooking an attractive sandy beach. Once in Faros, a small plain with a huge sandy beach close to the Eastern cape of Ikaria and the airport, the visitor can combine swimming and food or drink by the sea for absolute relaxation.

Finally, a unique delight offers the big beach with pebbles of the village of apricot trees, Xylosyrtis, to the west of Agios Kirikos, after the Monastery cove.

Excursions

During your stay in the island, you can make beautiful excursions with private or rented vehicles or organised excursions to the near islands (e.g. Samos, Fournoi, Patmos). You can also make organised excursions in the island. Finally, Ikaria is an ideal place for those who love hiking and mountaineering.
